What goes on behind the scenes of our high profile deals and how will you contribute to their success? "The Deal" is your chance to see our lawyers in action and understand how we work together.
Whilst there is no such thing as a typical day for a commercial solicitor as priorities, information and deadlines can change at a moment's notice, this should give you a real sense of the work that we do. It is critical that you understand what is needed to get deals done and the responsibilities that our trainees are expected and encouraged to take on. We thought that one of the best ways to help you visualise what it is like was to film a dramatised deal in our offices.
Not only do you get taken right through from winning the business to closing, giving you a real insight into what goes on behind the scenes of those stories you read about in the business and legal press, but the film also features interviews with A&O lawyers talking about their experiences, what they enjoy about life at A&O and the sort of attributes that help us succeed. Everyone you see in the film is an Allen & Overy lawyer and they all had input into how it was put together. This is not a group of actors playing at a deal; these are real solicitors showing exactly what they do.
